I'm overall really happy with this razor! Coming from someone who is more used to stainless steel razors, I think this razor feels well balanced and not overly light. Due, in part, to the handle length I think. The handle is nice and grippy without feeling rough like some knurling. Might even be the best of both worlds - perfectly balanced for comfort and grip/non-slip. The "aggressive" plate works great for getting through 3 days worth of growth for me. Good efficiency while still being nice and comfortable. While the "medium" plate is great as a daily shaver or even 2 days worth of growth, with the right blade. Admittedly, I haven't tried the "mild" plate due to the fact that I feel like it might just be too mild for my wire-y facial hair. But it is great knowing that I have that option if needed.
I'v had it for a month now. Tried it with different blades han soaps. It never lets me down. Its just at brilliant shave every time. I can only recommend it.
I've been using this razor for almost 2 weeks now and it is the best razor I have in my collection and I have many razors. I will likely purchase another one as it is just that excellent. Thank you oliworks!
Great Razor. Very efficient yet smoothy at the same time. I mainly use the aggressive plate and switch it up to Medium plate for daily shaving so the extra plate options are very nice for what kind of shave you want to use. Highly recommend.
It provides a fast, irritation-free, and comfortable shave. It could easily be an only razor. Ideal for daily shaving
I have many razors, but when the M3teorite starter set arrived, it became my daily set. They look beautiful and shine in my cabinet. I liked the brush as well — it has a great massage effect and doesn’t feel prickly. I’m glad I bought starter set. This set will be a permanent part of my rotation.
I started with a Henson medium and decided to give oliworks a try. It is heavier and I love the aesthetics. I get a really smooth shave. So farI am loving it! Wife not too happy with my color choice, but I dig it!
Prefer it's lightness to other steels that I have. Trying different blades and heads next.
The Oliworks M3teorite stainless adjustable definitely lived up to the hype on my first shave. It was comfortable, chatter free and provided what I’d rate as a nine out of ten performance. I’ll ding it one point because I couldn’t quite eliminate a couple of rough spots. Still, until I try it with a few other blades, the final evaluation is still a bit up in the air.
My only real nit is the length of the head-assembly threads. They’re just a little too long, making it a bit of a hassle when switching baseplates mid shave—which I did. Speaking of that, I did the first pass (WTG) with the medium plate to get a feel for the razor’s aggressiveness. It was the right choice. The medium (II) was efficient and mowed my stubble easily. I switched to the mild plate (I) for the XTG and ATG passes and got a very satisfying shave, notwithstanding the aforementioned rough patches, which were far from a deal breaker. I have a little hollow just under my chin that’s almost impossible to get BBS no matter what I’m shaving with so, mulligan granted.
Note: I went with a Personna Blue for this first shave because it’s my go-to blade and gave me a reliable baseline to judge performance. Again, nine out of ten. The M3teorite will definitely be in my regular rotation.
I have been using a safety razor for over 20 years. I currently have over 50 safety razors and several straight razors. My go to razor was a muhle r41 for the last several years and without a doubt this is the best razor in my collection. Paired with a Bic chrome platinum blade, this razor is phenomenal. Blade alignment and blade gap with the various plates is perfect. The razors design is flawless and is the easiest to clean out between passes. Without a doubt, the best shaving tool I own!! Well done!
High quality. The bowl and brush are bigger than I expected. They have some heft to them. The shaving cream is also great. I was on the fence, but glad I made the purchase. I fill the bowl with hot water to warm up the brush. The bowl retains some heat for that warm lather.
Beautifully orchestrated stand for the M3teorite, holds the razor and the two extra base plates in a nicely designed product to keep it out on full display.
I am 83 and have tried dozens of razors in my days. I have always liked the most aggressive I could find but now I am limited to a lttle less aggressive. Hand tremors and an eye stroke that left me blind in one eye & now on blood thinners so I had to give up straight razors & aggressive safety razors. This Oliworks completely blows away anything I have tried. I started with the #3 plate and it provided a bbs shave with only one (scrubbing) pass. Next shave I used the #2 plate. Much less blade feel and two passes left me bbs. Perfect for me. What a bargain at $75
I have been very happy with your products, I purchased the stainless first then the aluminum, both work very well, However, I have not tried the Filoso blades, I have been using the Perma-Sharp blades with both razors and pairs very well, A three pass shave is normally what I do and have been doing the wet shave process for 12 years, have a few razors that I can admit to, they all work great and different, I rate the Oliworks high on shaving and quality, thanks for making a great product
The bowl is tremendous! I’m so impressed with the weight, size, attention to detail, and quality. The design is obviously well thought out. There’s no better bowl on the market; reasonably priced.
I’m so impressed with this set! The material, weight, and quality is over the top! I love the attention to detail. I own other safety razors but this is “head and shoulders” above the others, and obviously my new favorite.
Excelente kit para empezar en el wet shaving, no hay nada que ofresca todo un kit (razor, 3 platos con diferente eficiencias, brocha, bowl jabon, navajas) por el precio en el que lo ofrecen y todo esta muy bien construido!
