I bought this razor primarily for the Army, engraving. I was just hoping it would at least not be a bad shave. The razor I measure all my other razors by is the .68 Timeless. This OliWorks razor has surpassed all my expectations and I would say that at a minimum it is equivalent to the Timeless .068, in quality and shaving performance. I have had this OliWorks Military razor for 4 weeks now. Week 1 used the OliWorks blade that came in the package, week 2 Personna blue, week 3 Astra green, then week 4 back to the OliWorks blades. The OliWorks blades I would call acceptable. For me I don’t think they give as good a shave as Astra’s, but in general they work well enough that I don’t mind using them. My preferred blades are the Astra green, and with these blades in the OliWorks Military razor, using the #1 plate, I am so impressed! I will say shaving with the OliWorks is effortless and there is no concern of nicks, even sideways across my neck. This is an exceptionally smooth razor! One thing I like about the OliWorks razor is the head has a thinner profile than the Timeless. Only time will tell if this OliWorks razor takes the top spot in my lineup. I can say I like this OliWorks razor enough that I got 3 more military razor sets for the guys in my shop, 1 Navy and 2 Marines. Christmas is coming up, I have no doubt they will love this razor as much as I do. Now I think I need an Oliworks Meteor in Titanium.

This razor completely exceeded expectations. It appears well made and the looks are exceptional. I shaved with it for the first time and for me, with the middle plate and a Personna Platinum Gem blade, it was a bit aggressive. However I think I need to work on getting closer to 30 degrees. BBS shave tough and no nicks.

My second Oliworks razor. I liked the stainless steel meteor so much I had to buy the USMC model. I actually like this USMC model a little better because the powder coat gives you a little more grip on the handle when it’s wet and soapy.
